Farewell

Wow. It's been such a long time since I've last come on here. Many real life circumstances had led up to my eventual inactivity, and I apologize profusely for leaving so abruptly on such short notice.

I returned to Blogger a short while ago and came back upon this blog, and couldn't help but read through all the posts and roleplay replies again with a smile on my face. It made me feel rather inanely old XD but reading through all the memories we warriors of HiddenClan have made together honestly brought a tear to my eye.

HiddenClan was the place where I first started roleplaying all the way back when I was in fourth grade, even though I hadn't learned of the exact term 'roleplaying' yet. I took a long time to go think back through the years; some of the first HiddenClan warriors/roleplayers on here probably still remember the old Warriors Symbol site where HiddenClan was first established, the ecstasy we felt when we transitioned to our first website, then the sadness we felt when we had to farewell the wonderful Skywhisker. Then we finally settled onto this website, where we recruited and accepted more and more warriors and new members to our Clan and thrived for over four/five years.

I look back at all these experiences and can't help but feel a sense of... awe? Excitement. Nostalgia. And a lot of happiness. I'm not one of the founders of the Clan, as I only joined after HiddenClan was established, but I was accepted with amazing warmth by the first HiddenClan roleplayers. I have made so many priceless memories that, I can safely say without exaggeration, I'll forever cherish for the rest of my life. I've made so many friends through HiddenClan, and this very roleplay was the one that taught me that one can find the truest of friends even online.

As is probably already obvious from my unexpected hiatus, I no longer have the time to run this blog. I'm in highschool now and am already getting swamped with homework :P, and besides, I'm starting to move on from roleplaying to working on some original story ideas of mine, as I'm finally setting out to pursue my dream as a writer. I'll probably still have the time to come on and visit occasionally, but I believe it is safe to say that Willowstar died her ninth life in warmth and peace, immersed in happy memories and surrounded by all the friends she had made as close as family over the years.

That being said, is there still anybody out there that's interested in kickstarting HiddenClan back up again, be it a continuation of the current roleplay plot or a new start entirely? I am completely willing to cede ownership of this blog over to anyone willing to be the new leader and run the site from now on. If you're interested, potential takers, then feel free to comment on this post or shoot me an email over at mimi.zeng2001@gmail.com . Sending me an email may be more efficient, as I'll see your email sooner.

Thank you all for being such an important part of my early internet life, and for making so many wonderful memories in this lovely little community. I love all of you and hope you're doing well in your own lives.

- Willowstar
